Louvre Part 1




Oh my God. My first reaction into the main courtyard of this place. They tell you it's big, but I don't think anyone can picture just how enormous the building actually is until you stand there. It's jaw dropping. Shaped like a giant horseshoe, 4 stories talls, but each of these levels are have ceilings at least 15 feet high. Truly, truly amazing. I think it's one of my favourite buildings so far. You enter by going inside of the pyramid and down the staircase pictured above, which leads into the main visitors lobby. There's another entrance under the Arc du Carrousel that has the inversed pyramid, la Pyramide Inversée.
